My name is Roland, by day I manage one of the UK largest heathcare computer systems.
Living now in the North East of England, I enjoy spending time
with my wife and following Apple. In 2006 I gained entry into the London Marathon without really knowning what
I'd gotten myself into, 26+ miles is a long way. After that I decided to do a little more running and entered a few more
races. Come 2010 I wanted to challenge myself further and ventured into the world of multisport, run bike run the
Duathlon. To celebrate 40 years in 2012 I've decided to take part in one of the UK toughtest races - "Ballbuster Duathlon" on Box Hill
in surrey. 5 laps of some of the 2012 Olympic Cycling Road Race course (2 running, 3 bike). Add to this running first ever Marathon
of The North, its going to tough first 6 months of 2012.
